An excellent offering."Tom Kidd, Music Connection, March 2-15, 1998 About the Artist St. Surreal (Bert Hill, Preston Clarke, Scott Stanton) has been together since 1991, based in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Bert (LA) is formally educated in classical music and Flamenco guitar and Preston's (St. Louis, MO) musical education is in jazz. The blend of musical backgrounds and voices of these two members creates St. Surreal's unique sound. Scott is a skilled carpenter who grew up in the streets of Torrance CA and played in up to five bands at a time before joining St. Surreal The group created its own corporation and recorded and toured "a fun night out of fasting" in 1998 with much success, especially in the midwest. They also have released a video of the single "Alma Mater" which has received play on regional stations througout the country. Their singles "Alma Mater" and "No Voice But Yours" have also received radio play on commercial AAA/Modern Rock stations in major markets such as San Francisco, St. Louis, Houston.
