I was very hesitant to get this album due to poor publicity when it came out in 1989 when the new wave era was on the verge of exiting from the airplay list. These two great musician from Scotland are a hell of musician. The album is surprisingly beautiful, lyrical and carefully filled with crisp clean arrangements. No wonder Bruce Springsteen allowed one of his composition to be rendered by these two guys. I can not rate each song included in this album. The first eidtion that came out in cassette tapes 15 years ago did not include the last two songs in this CD. I would strongly recommend to 80's fanatics to get this hard-to-find album from the River Detectives.
