This is a good live collection...and probably a bit overdue. Too many Night Ranger live albums have been recorded in Japan. And I love "24 Strings And A Drummer"; but let's face it: Night Ranger is an American Rock band and they're at their best when they're plugged in, rocking, and playing in America! The video is good quality and certainly their best since the video that came out for their "7 Wishes" tour; though I personally would've lit the stage a little differently and edited the video a little differently. This has all their hits on it and even includes some newer stuff, ("Growin' Up In California" and "High Road"). I would've liked "Knock, Knock Never Stop" to have been in the set and would've traded out "Growin' Up In California' for "Lay It On Me". But the real nice surprise is that thos collection includes "Day+Night" - a NEW song from their forthcoming, (at the time of the writing of this review), album! I loved it from the first time I heard it. Great guitar work, great bass and overall just a fantastic song. The only real disappointment for me was that I was hoping to finally have the recent live version of "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" on CD to listen to in the car. I see Night Ranger live three to six times a year, (one year recently, I saw them 11 times); and they usually weave The Eagles' "Hotel California" and Deep Purple's "Highway Star" into "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" and I love it! I've even heard them do some Roadhouse Blues, (Kelly played on a Doors tribute band), some Crazy Train, (Brad played for Ozzy), and School's Out, (Keri played for Alice Cooper). But at the very least, I was hoping for a taste of the version of "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" that has been at most live shows in recent years. I was disappointed to find that they did not weave in the snippets from the Eagles and Deep Purple songs mid-'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' on this collection that I have grown to love so much. Maybe it is a licensing thing. Maybe they wanted it to be a Noght Ranger concert without talking about their influences. I don't know. But I sure wish it was there.I know, despite giving it five stars, I've kind of listed some of what bugs me. But the bottom line is that Night Ranger is among the best live bands ever and certainly one of the best live bands still touring today. They are in their element live. They're high energy and a tight knit group. This is an excellent live album/video - well recorded and fun - and you can't beat the price for this set! You get two live CDs, you get all their classic hits, you get a sneak peek at their latest work and you get a DVD of all of it!
